| Site Description: Can you provide a brief overview of the primary responsibilities and functions of your department? Our primary responsibility in the repair and maintenance department is to provide skilled service to the heavy equipment, and delivery trucks and trailers that produce and move our products. Key Personnel: Aaron Brockway – Site Manager Cindy Sapp – R&M Coordinator Jim Vargo – Lead Mechanic Andy Kochera – Mechanic Fred Voros – Mechanic Easton Strychasz – PM Service Tech/Mechanic Dan Barton – Mechanic Jack Ayers – Mechanic Share interesting or unique details about your team members (hobbies, achievements, etc.) / Are there any interesting or fun facts about your department that people might not know? Cindy: I’ve been with KBI for 19 years. I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our two boys. We have 2 dogs and a cat. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. My husband and I host a party every July called Hootenanny (my grandpa named it) where we have a concert to raise money and collect canned goods to donate to the North Ridgeville Community Care. Andy: I’ve been with KBI for 9 years. I enjoy hiking, and making people laugh and smile! I also like to fabricate the impossible. Jim: I’ve been with KBI for 46 years. I enjoy bike riding, shooting, playing golf, biking downtown at night enjoying a bike and brew, and making it to the retirement finish line. Easton: I’ve been with KBI for 3 years, 8 months! I like working on trucks, taking my dog for walks and traveling. Dan: I have been with KBI going on 9 years. I enjoy home remodeling projects. I also have a daughter that keeps me busy with competitive cheerleading, and a son whom I help coach his baseball team. Jack: I enjoy collecting guns, going to gun shows, and working on the farm on my days off. Achievements and Milestones: Highlight any significant achievements or milestones your site has accomplished. R&M shop has accomplished bringing back in-house preventative maintenance services to all of our heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers. We streamline the order of approach to maintain the equipment with precision to the best of our abilities with the manpower we have. What are the upcoming goals and priorities for your department in the next quarter or year? An upcoming goal and priority R&M would like to achieve in the next quarter or year is to have KBI and KBCOH work to collaborate closer together to improve efficiencies and minimize unnecessary inventory and costs. Environmental Initiatives: Share any environmentally friendly practices or initiatives your site has implemented. We strive to clean up any fluids during maintenance and disregard them before they absorb into the ground or drains. Culture: Describe the culture and atmosphere at your site. What makes it special?
