Site Description: Can you provide a brief overview of the primary responsibilities and functions of your department?
Human Resources (HR) is a department focused on managing a company’s most valuable asset: its people. HR is responsible for recruiting and onboarding new talent, developing employee policies, administering benefits, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Additionally, HR fosters a positive work environment by handling employee relations, facilitating training and development, and supporting organizational culture. Through these activities, HR works to support both employee satisfaction and the company’s strategic goals.

Share interesting or unique details about your team members (hobbies, achievements, etc.) / Are there any interesting or fun facts about your department that people might not know?
Jackie and her husband, Tim, have three active boys—Jacob (14), Lucas (12), and Nathan (10) who keep them busy with all their sports and activities. They love spending time with friends and family and doing anything outdoors. While it doesn’t happen as often now that the kids are older, Jackie and Tim love traveling, and have been fortunate enough to visit places like Egypt, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Ireland, Romania, and Hungary– just to name a few!

Tiffany is a dedicated plant enthusiast with over 100 houseplants! She is a mommy to two turtles: Linda, a Sulcata, and Bob, a Box Turtle. She and her husband, Dan, have owned their own restaurant– Danspot, in Walton Hills, for three years now! They enjoy camping and concerts in their RARE free time.

Brandy and her husband, Michael, have two boys—Bryce (10) and Declan (8)—and a devil dog, Saylor (4). Brandy loves attending her son’s sporting events, and she is passionate about crafting, home decor, and all things CHRISTMAS! Brandy and her family adore visiting the beach — it’s their happy place!

Do you have any team-building activities or traditions that contribute to a positive work environment?
Do wine slushies count? (after work, of course!) Every other week we have a team meeting where we state our personal and business successes, as well as our venting and frustrations. This helps us see what we accomplished and let go of what is bothering us! Also, we step out of the office once a year as a team for team-building and relaxation, giving us a chance to recharge, strengthen our connections, and gain fresh perspectives– it’s a time we reset, bond, and come back inspired to tackle new challenges together!

Achievements and Milestones: Highlight any significant achievements or milestones your site has accomplished.
As you should already know, we’re in the process of moving our payroll system from APS to ADP—a significant milestone for our team! This transition requires extensive planning, coordination, and never-ending meetings to ensure a seamless and enhanced payroll experience for everyone. As we work through the final stages, we’re grateful for your patience and support and look forward to the many benefits ADP will bring to our payroll operations.

What are the upcoming goals and priorities for your department in the next quarter or year?
Some upcoming goals for 2025 include: Enhance Employee Engagement, Streamline Recruitment and Onboarding, and Training and Development.

Are there any strategic initiatives that your team is excited to work on?
Wellness October was a huge hit– over $2000 in prizes were given out to help promote our wellbeing! Next year, we are excited to announce the onset of HealthJoy– a platform where “Benefits Come to Life” making it easier to navigate our benefits and find the highest-quality care at the best possible cost! More information to come in the next couple of months!

We are trying our best to become paper free!

Culture: Describe the culture and atmosphere at your site. What makes it special?
Our culture is all about being a fun, supportive group where everyone’s got each other’s backs. We’re a team of women who know how to laugh and bring energy to the day while supporting one another through everything.
